Illinois State Bar Association – Association for legal professionals in Illinois. Membership includes Illinois Bar Journal, free CLE, and free access to Fastcase legal research.
Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission – Look up registration information or file a complaint against an Illinois attorney
Judicial Inquiry Board – Information regarding investigations and complaints about Illinois judges
Illinois Attorney General – Information about Illinois attorney general and links to file consumer complaints and health care-related complaints.
Illinois General Assembly – site to look up Illinois laws and pending legislation

Fastcase – Paid legal research site costing $65/month. No-contract monthly pricing. Included free with ISBA membership.
Casetext – Paid legal research costing $200/month on a monthly basis or $90/month with a 2-year plan. Contains cases, statutes, regulations, and rules for all state and federal jurisdictions includes an artificial intelligence search engine that analyzes legal issues and facts of a document to find relevant cases.
IICLE – Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education. Subscription site containing practice guides for topics in Illinois practice. Can also subscribe to free “Flashpoint” bulletins on current legal cases/topics. Developing a set of legal forms that are included with subscription. Costs $700 to $1500 per year.

Judici.com – Search dockets of 79 participating Illinois court systems.
Google Scholar – FREE online legal research case lookup
PACER – Online access to federal legal cases and filed documents (must register and pay a per-page fee for retrieval)
RECAP – FREE searchable collection of many PACER documents (RECAP is “PACER” spelled backwards)
Caselaw Access Project – Free state and federal legal opinion database. 7 million unique cases archived.
MoreLaw Legal Research – Find jury verdicts and other case information by category
JudyRecords – searchable database of 364 million public court records throughout United States
SearchSystems.net – free public records search by state/county/city/category

Library Genesis – Repository of 2.4 million non-fiction books, 80 million science magazine articles, 2.2 million fiction books, and 0.4 million magazine issues. Involved in litigation due to allegations of copyright infringement. Site blocked by service providers in several countries. Alternative link for site is here.

NPDB Guidebook – Rights, responsibilities and procedures associated with National Practitioner Databank reports
